SECTION Nº2: METAHUMAN ABILITY ASSESSMENT

I. PRIMARY FACTORS.
A. AUGMENTED PHYSICALITY

  1. Enhanced physique - can lift / press more than an average human could, and strike with increased force. Acrobatic. Projected upper limit to strength: Can lift / press approximately two tons.
  2. Enhanced resilience - recovers more quickly from wounds, tires more slowly when exerting himself. Projected upper limit to durability: resistance to handgun fire in more naturally durable areas, such as chest region. Recovers more quickly from fractures, lacerations.
  3. Superior reaction time - can react more quickly to changes in his environment. Faster thinker. Can aim-dodge gunfire.

B. THEORIZED LIMITATIONS

Shrike's capacity to exert himself doubtless imposes a sizable caloric mandate. Overexertion would likely result in chronic damage and deterioration of his cardiovascular and muscular systems. Furthermore, despite his augmented resilience, he is as capable of being wounded as any regular human being.

SECTION Nº3: OBSERVED EQUIPMENT
I. PRIMARY OBSERVED EQUIPMENT.
A. COSTUME AND PARAPHERNALIA

Shrike's attire is of professional make, suggesting ample resources to draw on with respect to the manufacture of his costume. No material samples have been acquired of yet, though forensics speculates the costume to be made of Kevlar or some equivalent. A harness affixed around Shrike's costume contains several pouches, theorized to store his equipment, from ranged projectile weapons to a thrown grappling hook affixed to a monofilament wire. Shrike possesses a radio scanner used for listening in on police broadcasts. The suit has been thoroughly waterproofed.
B. THROWN MISSILE WEAPONS

Shrike employs ceramic thrown weapons in his apparent crusade against the underworld styled after birds' feathers. These range from blunt-force missiles to sharpened throwing knives. He has also been observed using potent explosives. Curiously omitted is the use of any firearms.

The Shrike's Tools

The Shrike employs a select assortment of tools and weapons in his nightly war on metahuman crime, typically stashed in pouches and plastic compartments located along the harness, bracers, and greaves of the repurposed "Eagle" costumes that he owns. Several prototype costumes have been destroyed or decommissioned in the past; he has manufactured additional uniforms as substitutes. The costume material is a breathable kevlar weave which amplifies his innate resilience, though much of the costume is actually unarmored to allow for increased ease of movement. The chest region, over the insignia, has been reinforced. A neck brace serves to protect the wearer from whiplash. Otherwise, the waterproof costume is a standard two-piece bodysuit repainted in a vantablack scheme to camouflage him in shadow. Reflective shatterproof lenses over his eyes offer a degree of protection from debris and irritants while also concealing his eyes.

Climbing Talons: Hooked appendages employed for offensive attack and for climbing, these ceramic claws make full use of the Shrike's enhanced strength to enable him to ascend sheer surfaces with ease, digging into material to leverage his weight and scale surfaces at surprising speeds. The talons are retractable; a pressure-based switch in the palm of each glove combined with a 'whipping' motion causes the talons to extend and lock.

Smoke Grenades: A sheet steel cylinder with four emission holes on top and one on the bottom to allow opaque smoke to release when the grenade goes off. The grenades release a white smoke with a carefully calibrated chemical composition of potassium chlorate, lactose, and ivory dye. When deployed, the grenade can establish an almost instant smoke screen, allowing for concealed movement or disorienting adversaries.

Flashbangs: A nonlethal explosive device which can temporarily disorient an enemy's senses. On detonation, these grenades produce a blinding flash of light and a sharp 'bang', simultaneously activating all photoreceptor cells in an onlooker's eye while also disrupting the fluids of their inner ear, resulting in temporary deafness and severe loss of balance.

Grappling Hook: A claw affixed to a high-tensile monofilament wire used for ascending or rappeling down buildings.
